On The Ride Plugged In Dev

Have you ever been captivated by a work of art? I have. When I saw this photo, The Ride, I found my eyes moving about the scene. I saw people on a ride, I saw the mechanics of the ride, and then I saw the sky with clouds and a hovering bit of sunshine. Being familiar with rides like this at amusement parks and State Fairs, I felt I should know the trajectory. And yet, it told me more than what my eyes saw and my mind worked to add imagined details. The scene told me a story that my mind knew – for it is all about The Ride of Our Lives.

Have you ever been captivated by a work of art?

I have. When I saw this photo, The Ride, my eyes moved around the scene. I saw people on a ride, I saw the mechanics of the ride, and I saw the sky with clouds and a hovering bit of sunshine. Being familiar with rides like this at amusement parks and fairs, I felt I should know the trajectory. Yet, it was beyond what my eyes saw and my mind worked to add imagined details. The scene told me the story that my mind already knew – it’s all about The Ride of Our Lives.

As we ride along, we may simply observe. Or we may have experiences – some of them expected and others take us by surprise; we may participate or we may not. These experiences fascinate me and compel me to write about them. And as I write, I am filled with a sense of deep gratitude for The Ride and all its lessons. I hope you will come along and that we will ride together.

You may be interested to know a bit about me: I rely on a cup of coffee and time to sit alone with random thoughts to begin my day; I value my interactions with family and friends; I look for and find joy; I’ve lived on the East coast, near the West Coast, and now in the South and I find all of those places perfect. I enjoy learning about art, traveling y estudiando español.
